It’s been a while since the last post! I’ve continued doing exercises as usual, but I haven’t focused on this blog so much, because my school started again a few weeks ago.

So I made a simple tower mesh and I got textures from In the header image you can see the model inside Blender, with and without textures. I’ll skip explaining the creation process in detail, but here’s the short version:

  1. Made the model
  2. Unwrapped it
  3. Texture painted it with brick and moss textures
  4. Processed the tower texture in GIMP with InsaneBump plugin, to create all the other textures
  5. Imported everything to Unreal Engine  and made a really simple material from the textures.
